Lots of Rain in the Vineyard Our recent weather has offered a good dose of rain this week, but the vines are right on schedule. The vines are showing the first leafs and the vineyard has never looked so good. Recently I spent time servicing the tractors and the ATV basically getting all the equipment ready for the working season. We've spent a little time on the landscape pulling weeds and spent time helping cut up another fallen tree in the neighborhood. The work we did preparing Terrie's garden was underminded by the rain, this picture shows the garden after tilling and 5 inches of rain.

2008 Estate Zinfandel Big and opulant, drinking well now or hold -- you must try this complex wine that spent 16 months in mostly new French, Hungarian, and American barrels. Dark garnet/purple with a huge nose of ripe wild berry and complex fruits. Lush, ripe berry fruit welcomes your taste-buds with a core of delicious fruit. 271 cases produced
2008 Estate Petite Sirah Already drinking very well, opulent and lush, like it's Zinfandel vintage partner, this wine will develop for years to come. Having spent about 16 months in new oak, this wine is an inky deep purple; with lush ripe fruits, and sweet oak. The 2008 is likely our most opulent Petite to date and for sure our most approachable at this early stage. The 2008 will be our last stand-alone Petite bottling until the 2010 releases.
2008 Old Vine Carignane Big and Yummy, ready to drink or hold, the 08' is a plump berry surprise and a mouthful. Lush is my word for it - elegant nose and a beautiful finish. 17 months in barrel and only 217 cases produced and selling fast.
2007 Estate Zinfandel A big and beautiful wine, similiar to the 2005 Estate Zinfandel, it's well balanced and fruit forward - this gold medal winner (in fact four total medals so far, including Best of Class awarded by the Los Angeles Wine Competition) is complex, food friendly and a blend of 10% Petite Sirah - having spend 16 months in mostly new oak - this wine is full bodied yet elegant and age worthy - only 245 cases produced.
Estate Toucanet is our first dessert wine and gold medal winner that everyone is enjoying. $32/500ml The next release of our Estate Toucanet won't be until 2012. This lush over the top beautiful dessert wine will improve for years in your cellar.
